Gove Law Office is continuing to serve our clients in these difficult times. However, because the health of our team and our clients is paramount, our operations and procedures have changed significantly, and we’ve detailed these changes below:
Gove Law Office supports the concept of social distancing as the best way to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and the goal of working remotely with our clients on their matters whenever possible.
However, under current law, there are some parts of our work that must be done in person, including the signing of estate plan documents, and the signing of many real estate documents. As a result, our office will continue to coordinate with our clients for estate plan signings and real estate closings, and will intend to have people available in the office for such work.
Even though we will meet with clients in person where required, we are taking steps to minimize the assembly of people. For all meetings, we ask that clients refrain from bringing family members, real estate agents, or anyone else into the office. Further, we have modified our regular procedures to minimize the amount of time that people will be present – this time will be only for signing documents which must be signed in person. If you have any questions about the documents you will be signing, these questions should be discussed with your attorney (via phone or video conferencing) before you come into the office.
When we do meet with clients in person, we have enhanced protocols including disinfecting the conference rooms and all common areas in between client meetings, setting up our conference rooms so that we can maintain an appropriate distance between our clients and our attorneys, and minimizing the passing of papers needing to be signed.
No matter what, if any party is showing any symptoms of illness (regardless of severity), or has been exposed to others showing signs of illness, please do not come to our office. Rather, we must be immediately notified so that alternative arrangements can be made.
We hope that all of our clients, colleagues, and parties, will continue to support social distancing and other methods to reduce the spread of Covid-19, and we thank everyone in advance for their understanding in these difficult times.
